Cartoon characters?

OK guys, this thread may go no where but I thought I'd give it a try!
What were some of your favorite cartoon characters?
My earliest memories involved Felix the cat but my Favorite has to be a toss up between the road runner or speedy gonzales! more recent cartoons would have to include Pinky and the Brain!

We share a favorite in Road Runner. Past that I liked the Pink Panther a Lot.

I just want to know why Bugs Bunny wore swimming trunks when swimming but when he walks around town, he never wears any pants.

I'd go Roadrunner, or that Aardvark from the Pink Panther. Did he have a name? Oh, and Linus from the Peanuts.

How American is all that for a Canadian respondent?

Well, where to start? For the old ones as I was growing up, I loved Deputy Dawg (sp?), Huckelberry Hound, Wacky Racers (mutley was my favourite) and the old Scooby Doos (hmmmm, bit of a dog theme developing here...)

Newer ones - I will admit I really do like Kim Possible (kill me now) and I have to say the Simpsons and South Park ("Screw you guys, I'm going home!").
