Back in the early '80s, when Fawlty Towers made its second round on PBS on Sunday nights in Chicagoland, my high-school friends and I would have gin-drinking parties in a friend's attic (think teenage den) while watching each episode over a twelve-week period (twelve episodes total). Really a great time! Still love that show.

A few springs to mind, the League of Gentlemen, Rising Damp, my all-time favourite Reginal Perrin, Monty Python, One Foot in the Grave.

    Let's not forget The Goons , I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again & I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue

Please do not watch this if you are easily offended, remember this is from the 1960s UK and political correctness didn't exist, well one of my favourites Till Deat do us part.

What, no love for Fawlty Towers? The best example ever of a show reaching perfection in a limited run, then stopping before it lost its magic.

Also, father Ted. And yes, I know it was created by, written by, and performed by Irish folks and not Brits, I'm throwing it into the ring on a technicality as it was produced for Channel 4.

EDIT: whoops - seems there was some love for Fawlty Towers after all. Note to self - read to the end of the thread before replying.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

The young ones, and the subsequent filthy rich and catflap were brilliant. There was another series with the same actors but the name escapes me.

    That would be bottom...

I notice no love for Allo Allo, what a shame.

They did a pilot in the US of Red Dwarf, but they never really got it, which is a shame lol.

Gotta love that ironic pommy humour.
