Anyone from Nova Scotia?
Just wondering as I have a friend who will be there in late July.
Here was his post on the BBQ forum I'm on.
I have a problem. Over 20 years ago, I traveled to and thru Nova Scotia three different times, from Wisconsin. Twice on motorcycle, and once by car. My fiance/wife joined me on two of those trips, so we share fond memories!
We now want to take the whole family, including two teenagers and a 10 year old. I have fond memories of Lunenburg, Baddeck, Cabbot Trail, MeatCove, Digby (including a night stayed with the 74th Crusaders), a 'harley dealership' in Comoeaville.
I suddenly feel like a european coming to the US and saying they just want to see everything. Any insights would be Great, on how to narrow things down into 7 days.
Might need two rooms each night, which is no big deal, except for the reservation/vacancy part & planning. is flexiblity not an option?
July 19 fly into Halifax, depart July 28ish.
While I (by that I mean teenagers) dont want to do 6 hours a day in the Car (thinking largest Excursion they rent), but Badeck is over 6 hours from Halifax, and I really want them to do the Cabbot Trail(maybe do an overnight in chetticamp?). Help Help Help
If we spent 2 nights in Lunenburg just soaking in the quaintness, that would be nice too, but I am really struggling. Maybe next time :-)
Sights, rental vehicles, or lodging recommendations welcome!
Now, off to badger teenagers to fill out passport forms . . . .
Thanks in advanceLook sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz
