what would be in your Gentleman's set?
After seeing Voidmasters super nice set which seemed to include everything a man could need, i wondered what would the modern day man need in his set? Now suppose you were going to be gone for a month to a place that didn't have all the modern conveniences of home.(much like i imagine the well traveled gentleman of the 18th and 19th century would have experienced).
Here's some things i would put in my set:
1. razor,brush, soap and strop.
2.flash light
3.phone charger
4.tooth brush and paste
5.scissors
6.some sort of hone for touch ups
this isn't a complete list but i'm sure just a start. What do you think?

OOOH didn't think of that. Here's my list from the other thread as well:
1. A DE, ofc.
2. Brush and some kinda of shaving soap/cream in a refillable tin.
3. A "Desktop Charger", u know one of those things with multiple charging ports? I'd say to be useful to everyone at least 60W, and 3 ports. Hopefully at least one port is USB-c
4. 2 USB charging cables with magnetically attached interchangable ends (USB C, and lightning). Obviously in a braided and in a leather pouch.
5. Small Swiss army tool.
6. OH OFC, embedded into the all wood box itself (and ofc removable if you want) is a 20Ah portable battery.
And ofc plenty of storage space for other stuff.

Instead of tooth paste I would take tooth powder, preferably either Uncle Harry's or Country Gent. Uncle Harry's comes in a powder dispenser and is (IMO) a superior product.
If you are going anywhere that doesn't have city water, don't forget the antidiarrheic and stool softener.Last edited by howdydave; 01-05-2020 at 06:33 PM.

Thanked: 603Recognizing that a "Gentleman's Set" is intrinsically British, while not wanting to "diss" mainland Europe, I'd like to add an indispensable item: a packet of French letters.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.
