The box is pretty cool. I am not a fan of the leather on the swivel. Everything else looks good though.

High class piece of kit. That said, I do not care for the leather covered D ring and swivel piece.

Also I do not like the idea of snap buttons for attaching the swivel piece to the strop. I understand why it is necessary to keep the stored strop as compact as possible but they can become faulty in short order.

There is no doubt it is an excellent piece of leather work and I'm just nit picking at the edges here. I'm sure the user will be very satisfied in the long run.

I really love the box and believe the strop looks and functions better without leather covering up that beautiful brass. But, hey, I didn't buy the thing. We only nitpick to entertain ourselves and not to diminish your fine efforts.

Thank you for your advice and guidance, it is certain that all tastes are in the nature of each of us, and ultimately, the one who does, is required to make a work in accordance with the wishes and expectations of the one who receives the work, and his satisfaction is our first encouragement.
the person doing the work is required to do everything possible to ensure that the result is as close as possible to expectations,
Its own tastes and desires or wishes are irrelevant.

Yes, that is certainly understood when making bespoke/custom goods for a client. The client's wishes/desires are the only thing that matters and must be met. The only way out of that is to politely refuse a commission.
