I stock up on the bite size (more like sample size these days) as I have a sweet tooth and the prices for the candies are the least expensive right before Halloween. I usually buy an assortment but also pick up at least one bag of my favorite.

With that said I don't like them to just sit in the packages so here's my yearly stash all sorted, vacuum packed and ready to go to the freezer:

Any guesses what my favorite candy is?

    Here's a hint

I could do serious damage to that Butterfinger stash.

Of the 31 kids, the best one was a 5 year old girl made up like a cat. Her mother did an amazing job with false eyelashes, whiskers that looked real and careful shading of her cheeks.
    She was a little doll.

As I previously said, I love the homemade costumes!

I still remember when I was pre-first grade and a friend of my mom helped make me into an 'Organ Grinder's Monkey' I remember that the hat was made from a small tube that oatmeal had come in.
