Thanks for the welcome, guys!
Cudarunner, glad I could help.
ScottGoodman, I'm here, but it's a busy time man! Cut me some slack!
These have been eventful years! I had a son, bought a house, changed careers, and kind of got out of razors and stones.
I notice the place has a new name... I imagine there's a story there?

Thanked: 1936The story is about as pleasant as dumpster diving, mid summer, behind a fish processing facility and the razor community suffered through it. Lots of mud slinging. I am just glad Ivan kept this going however he could even with multiple name changes.
Glad life has been good to you. I still have a razor that you sold multiples of from your sensei.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

Long time no see. It is good to hear from you. You are one of the good ones.
I thought of you the other month, I was tying to figure out what was being done on a Russian language video and I wish I knew somebody who could understand the language.
Sometimes it is strange what pops into our heads.
I am happy to see you.

Charley, thank you for those kind words. I still take your razor out and caress it lovingly sometimes, though I don't have a good strop anymore and rarely straight shave.

Great to see you back again. Not so long ago I was thinking of you as I have a question about Iwasaki-san's book on honing razors that you translated some time ago.

Jim ! Ohisashiburi !!!
Moving house myself shortly & haven't had time to hone or shave with a straight in quite some time either. Nice to see you back. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Oh Jim, so excellent to hear that you are well. How did your venture with the banjo work out? Still using the strop you sold me years ago as well as the shoubudani aisa stone you recommended. I thank you for great recommendations.
Yes there have been changes to this site. I think that they were necessary however some might disagree. Thankfully Ivan held it together.
Again Jim, glad to see you back here. Don't be a stranger.Proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance.

This sums it up pretty well, actually. Welcome back, Jim-I remember you. What part of Japan are you in? My oldest son took on a 2-year engineering assignment in Osaka this summer. We are supposed to visit next summer-will probably tour that whole area including Tokyo. We may even go to Okinawa-we'll see.
There are many roads to sharp.

Thanked: 13245Welcome back to SRP Jim
I see your tweets pop up now and again, but much better to see you back on here"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"
