We're in the same boat.
Just got rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow.
Not that deep, only about 4 in. total, but it's like dealing with wet cement.
New year's Eve beer and bourbon on deck.

Thanked: 556We are at our cottage in eastern Ontario. Freezing rain from Sunday evening through all day Monday and then ice pellets.
It warmed up over night and we now have rain and wet snow. Not much accumulation since the snow is melting as it lands. Ice falling off the trees and the roof is freaking out the dogs and I keep looking to see if any has hit the car.
There were power outages all around us, but we managed not to get hit - had extra water, batteries and the wood stove going just in case.
The joys of an eastern Ontario winter.David

We are having a light rain off and on, it's supposed to get to 50 degF today and close to that tomorrow so we are having a heat wave.
The record cold for the Walla Walla Valley is on December 30th 1968 at -28 below zero F.
While I hate the cold, our economy is agriculturally driven and the farmers need more rain AND snow. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

You have my sympathy. I have been pretty lucky that the worst of things have coincided with my days off recently.
Today was one of the harder drives for me lately. Not slippery but the glare of the headlights on the wet road through the construction areas on 35W that they have changed the lanes so many times coupled with my new glasses that I got last Friday. Ghost images from where they have removed/ground away the lane markers for example made it hard to make sure I was in my lane. then you still have the dingalings that have bald tires and or drove on Saturday only doing 30 mph on the freeway.....

Is it any worse than when I rode across AZ in August (beside the humidity)? I stopped at a place called Datewood at 11:00 am for gas for the iron horse and water for me and it was 106 degs F IN THE SHADE.
I don't know how hot it was when I landed at splashone's in Tucson at 3:30 pm but it was Frigging Hot!
Fortunately he had a frig full of cold Budweiser's ---

That's weather for you. No matter how extreme, it's always worse somewhere else.
