I read a magazine article once that stated that the worst time of the year to fish for Crappies without a boat was in the winter............

I gave up long ago on a snowblower at least in my situation.

By the time I store, maintain, and start it, etc. It is more work/bother than shoveling.

This last snow was pretty wet and even as the neighbor came up the alley with his and offered to assist it wasn't much less work or faster than shoveling.

Winter is always a challenge in the northland. It is certainly not for the weak. I spent 2 hours cleaning off 12” of snow off my roof this morning which is better than what we went through last winter. Ice dams with our ceiling leaking in the house in 3 different spots.

Most years I enjoy the challenge as it separates the men from the boys but last year about did me in and we were talking about moving south. Luckily it was just a momentary lapse of reason.

The forecast is for -0 F temps around here his next week.

One good thing and I would rather have that than the snow/sleet stuff.

We will join you middle next week. You are right, I too would rather deal with the cold than sleet and snow.
