Guy who did my renos had gout, it seemed awful and one of the reasons it took so long.
Hopefully you get through this quickly. Im 51 as well and doc says I need new knees but he wont do the operation til im at leat 60.
Constant pain is not a fun thing

Gout and Gout attacks are two different things. If you have elevated Uric Acid you have Gout. However when your body can't process the stuff and it grows crystals in your joints then you have an attack. Some folks have elevated levels but never have an attack.

I'm from Montreal, played from high school till I was 30, schools and with a club, when for the first time in my life I got an actual injury, ACL and MCL torn in my left knee in a freak accident that had nothing to do with the game play. Was just jogging across the field with a guy from the other team when he tripped over his own feet and fell on my knee. I head the ligaments pop over my scream as I went down. 1St friggin game of the season!!! I didn't even make it to half time. Messed up my right knee a few years later fixing the deck at my house. Also have severe arthritis in the knees as well as the injuries
