Thanked: 562I have experienced 4 gout attack. The next to last one happened when my wife and were away and I had not brought any meds. 7 days of absolute pain - couldn’t even walk to the bathroom without hopping on the good foot.
The last attack I was able to grab colchicine when the symptoms first started and was able to abort the attack within a day.
It is a pain that I can’t explain to someone else without invoking what a woman must endure during childbirth. Touching the inflamed area with something as light as a feather is excruciating.
Go see a doctor. Get your uric acid level checked and make sure you have colchicine and whatever other anti-inflammatory meds the doc prescribes within reach.
Good luck.David
