    Default On a lighter note

Took a drive to Narooma wharf today & spotted this fella having a snooze. I think I woke him up as I approached.
Loving it down here in spite of the fires. Clean water & fish everywhere.

That sounds and looks like a great escape.

Is that a fish cleaning station?

    Yes it is.

Not an uncommon sight here I'm told & the stupid tourists feed them so they get territorial & bite you if you don't give up your fish

Same problem around the world with tourists feeding the wildlife unfortunately.

Yes. People should not feed wildlife. If you look at the skeleton, the bones in the lower legs splayed out and more closely resemble hands. They look silly on the land, but they are crazy graceful if the water. As a fisherman in an area where sea lions are abundant, it leaves me with a love hate relationship. They are very very smart.

Yeah he was like a flexible torpedo when he hit the water. Ah well he eats your fish but the great whites here might eat him .
