I hope you stay safe Tim. I'm not going to play 'who knows what' with you. I am out in the public every day beyond my control and
I come in contact with dozens of people. If I through some carelessness became infected I could spread it all over town. The mask I have is not one that probably even makes a difference. It is a dust mask but I think you miss the point. I am not an epidemiologist. All I know is to take what seem to be reasonable precautions. I take what precautions I can to the point of being Overkill if necessary and I try to convey to the public that I care about NOT spreading it. A large part of my business is earning and KEEPING people's trust. Say or think what you want. I will do what I think I need to do to protect myself, my customers and my business.

Glad you folks are prepared, seemingly with many more days stock than I.
We have maybe 2 weeks supplies on hand, but are finding stock levels, and behaviors in the stores improving.
My company has been deemed infrastructure critical by homeland security so will be operating as long as we can get supplies in and out. Staff are allowed to stay home for any medical or family concerns, although we are all expected to use our vacation time up once sick days are depleted, where offered. Social distancing is quite difficult so most of us are counting on our relatively closed ‘small town’ eco system helping to isolate us to some degree. Any new visitors, or drivers are no longer allowed in freely. Locked entrances and the like. The new normal sucks.

And IF we actually do have to cease operations for any time, I’ve made arrangements to hav my crew in still earning their pays tearing into the equipment and doing PM’s with the downtime.
Keeping people busy, safe, and paid will go a long way to keep the Countries from flatlining wherever we still can gents.
    Stay safe all.

now would be the time to do maintenance that you would normally have to shut the plant down to do.

From what I see management doesn't think that way.

But then you have a place for the workers to eat an sleep.

For me it's actually more busy. We are kind of insulated. When people have money they want to lock it up. When they DON'T have money they want to lock it up. A lot of what we are doing now is locking people out because the places are closing and no one is there watching. It would be really easy for people to pilfer especially when they figure they can't go out and buy it.

For sure. My guys would sleep there if it meant keeping their families whole. Virus’s are respected, debt collectors feared..
And like typical working men we dont do well at home for too long.
My Company has frozen all capital projects and spending, but I’m leveraging this opportunity for what it is. The only down time we may get all year cause when things recover, which they will men,,, shits gonna get busy everywhere..

Pretty silly in the whole scheme of things but I understand. at my work.

They remodeled the kitchen and removed the dish washer.

They put the same POS after a couple of months with no maintenance and we have to deal with it.

I l keep telling myself I am-paid by the hour.
