Thanked: 603Meloxicam
Does anyone have any personal, first-hand experience with Meloxicam, as [part of] a treatment for A/OA/RA?
Please reply via PM.
TIA.You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I don't take it right now but I did take it for years. It's a more powerful non steroidal anti inflammatory. You just have to watch side effects if you take it long term. You don't want to take more than 7.5mg long term.

Thanked: 603Just to kind of wrap things up, I've been taking a single (doctor prescribed) 15mg tablet once-a-day (@breakfast) for right on two weeks, and it's definitely effective -- much more so than Ibuprofen. Once the R/L wrist splints arrive (are you listening, VA?) for nighttime wear, the Meloxicam ought to fully cover the daytime. I hope so, anyway. Who knows? I might even return to straight-razor shaving!

Took it for several years. Like most NSAIDS, it can really mess up the ole belly. I've been using a topical (Voltaren) NSAID for the last two years. Effective and, being topical, doesn't contribute to ulcers.
