Chidhood Memories
It occurred to me that there must be some funny stories from when we we're kids.
I can think of a few funny memories but to kick things off.
My Dad had a really strict rule about my brother and I going into his workroom when he wasn't there, we just couldn't.
One day my mum saw that his workroom door was open and looked to make sure we weren't in there.
She noticed a saw on the counter and when she looked at it noticed that the teeth weren't all lined up nice and neat. She panicked because we had been playing with his tools and damaged the saw so she spent ages carefully straightening the teeth so they were all lined up again.
A few days later my dad went into his workroom and came out after a few minutes red in the face and swearing about the bloody kids going in his workroom again.
My mum asked what the matter was and he produced his saw. Apparently we had straightened out all the teeth and ruined it.- - Steve

Thanked: 1081I cant actually remember this memory but my mum and dad told me about it, I was about 4 or 5 at the time.
My dad was making an oak dining room table and had spent ages cutting, planning and sanding it. Unfortunately he always left his tools out so one day he'd left to do some errand and I decided to help out and show my brother how to plane. The result was huge gauges and scratches to the table he had spent ages making. Whoops! He couldn't get mad as he should have tidied up after himself.
