computer crash
Well, it wasnt my computer, but it was my external harddrive that i back everything up on. With the computer still working it wasnt much of an issue as all my files and pics wefe still on the computer. The problem is...the external harddrive was 7or 8Tb so it was huge compared to my computer. So i kept my largest file of all directly on it. My Music! I did have a select amount of it copied to my phone but not all.
I remembered that my buddy across town who has a recording studio took a copy of my music but that was over 10 years ago. With a phone call i found out he still had most of it but it had been mixed in with a lot of other music so he spent some time pulling most of it out of his collection along with a lot of his customers files.
In the end I have retrieved 70% of it and now i have replaced the hardrive. But, i also have backed up my music files on a TB flash drive AND on the computer. 3 copys! I had to learn the hardway but at least I managed to get most of it back.
Plus I have learned about Flac files now as my buddy had a lot of those. The difference in sound quality is nice. Leave it to a guy with a recording studio to know music. BTW, Im giving him a new copy of my music. So a 4th copy will be saved in his mega computer system.
The the moral to the story is, even when you think your safe, the computer grimlins can find a way to mess with you. Damn computers. It's just Sharpening, right?
