My wife’s cousin ordered a couple of novelty steel signs from a company it Utah. She had one shipped to London, Ontario and another to me in eastern Ontario by USPS. They both cleared customs on the same day and were taken on by Canada Post. The package destined for London was delivered in a couple of days. Mine went to a “secure facility” and won’t be released until mid-April. No explanation provided.

I wonder if the RCMP will be knocking at my door.

So, FedEx missed it's scheduled delivery date and the order is still in Winnipeg 400 miles west of here. That warranted another email to the vendor expressing my displeasure and asking if they offer an alternative to FedEx for deliveries within Canada as I will not be using FedEx for that purpose in the future as I expect higher standards from a courier service. The vendor replied that they had been on to FedEx yet again about my order. Yes, they do have an alternate to FedEx and that is Canada Post. The vendor also sent a Gift certificate for the inconvenience I suffered. I thanked them for the gift certificate and asked to be switched to Canada Post for future orders. All is well that ends well as the vendor went the extra mile.

I will have to bring this up with someone I know that loaded trucks for UPS.

I wonder if it isn't the person loading the truck and in what order they loaded rather than the driver?

You know, I don't really care which link in the chain is broken. It all gives the impression that they have two clues. One is lost and the other is out looking for it. Too many links in the chain when you send it from Toronto Canada to Memphis TN USA to Winnipeg Canada and it still is not here overdue. Not so many links when you send it Toronto Canada to Thunder Bay Canada.
