I think that they are putting the cart before the horse. California has yearly rolling black outs or brown outs and look what happened in Texas this last winter.

Speaking of rolling blackouts....When are we gonna see the Harley Davidson Volt?

I believe you mean the 'Livewire'---

The dealership in Spokane has one for sale.

When Tc dropped me off at the Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma to get on the plane there were a couple of older gentlemen helping people get in the correct line and since I had on a Harley Davidson shirt and hat one of them asked me what I thought of the electric bikes and I said "Not much". He asked why and I said "There's no thunder" and he just smiled.

Looks like electric vehicles may have to make some noise by law so there will be some thunder after all.

    Interesting. Thanks for posting.

This is from Jay Leno's Garage when Harley was just developing the LiveWire back in 2014. I guess the bike was used to let people try and say what they thought should be different.Jay did a test ride and honestly seemed impressed. He did have some suggestions but overall even back then they seemed to have gotten off on the right track.

Inner city stop and go driving makes a lot of sense to me for an electric car.

What I would like to see mentioned more often is that many city folks don't have a garage or off street parking for a place to have an electrical outlet.

I’ll suck on a gun barrel if harleys all become electric. But I believe my time on this earth ain’t that long

I remember when unleaded gas was introduced. The Shell station that my folks did business with our little town installed an underground tank and pump out behind the station. You had to enter through the side street and then drive down the alley to get to it. The pumps out front on main street had the leaded Super and Regular gas.

I'd like to have what it cost farmers nationwide to have hardened seats put in their vintage tractors and such. I wouldn't be living in the Boars Nest, that's for sure.

A 'Colman' convenience/gas station opened up a year ago and they carry non-ethanol supreme it's at $4.29.9

Just to throw a monkey wrench in here, I think the real future will be Hydrogen Fuel Cells. All they have to do is figure out a cheap way to break the bond between H and O2 and then Jerry will be transporting a really big bomb around.
