W & S Butcher LTD
Couldn't sleep last night and consequently did some reading prompted by some buffoonery in an eBay listing. Found this history of W & S Butcher LTD and the Wade & Butcher trade name which was very thorough and quite interesting.

Look at 'Trademarks on base-Metal Tableware'
It shows all tang stamps

Yes, I've seen that before. That's another great resource for finding information especially about maker marks, tang stamps and engravings. Thanks for bringing that up bouschie.
