Thread: Front load dryer struggles

You guys are tough nuts to crack. I have a drying rack similar to the one depicted on top in my post, albeit with a few more cross pieces for more clothing, and it suffices for a full load from a front-loading washing machine. I have a second, smaller version for anything more as needed. As for the dog and other domestic animals, I have lived with cats that like to pee everywhere, on clothing lying on the floor in particular, and have developed the habit of closing the door to keep them out when needed.

Thanked: 4206We always hung stuff out in the summer, I recall how jeans could stand up on their own so stiff off the line.
These days not so much as the yard isn’t equipped with a clothes line.
I do still toss out our area rugs about this time of year if we get down to -20s for a few days.
Lay them out on a snow bank upside down in those temps and in the morning give them a few whacks with the beater,,,, clean and bright till the spring and smell so fresh again.
My mom got me into that habit as a kid, but the results kept me doin it the next 40 years..

We be really beating a dead horse here.
In most parts of the civilized world automatic washers and dryers are just ubiquitous devices. Even in the poorest places it's one of the first things people get after a TV and Radio. Maybe a luxury or status symbol, I don't know.
Even in my backwards part of the world you would be hard pressed to see clothes hanging out to dry.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
