Thanked: 81shaving dreams
Anyone else ever have shaving related dreams?
Last night I dreamt that I pulled out my kamisoris and they were all rusted. Not pitted or anything, but heavily rusted - they looked like they had been recovered from a shipwreck or something. I cleaned up one, an Iwasaki, and by the time I got to clean steel the head was the size of a scalpel.
What does it mean? Do I want to know?

Well you see, the fact you were dreaming about Kamisori clearly means you have this thing about Japan and the fact they were all in distress means you fear Godzilla will be arriving soon to lay waste to Tokyo.
The fact you ground them down to nothing means that is what Gojira will be leaving behind when he returns to the sea.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I've never had a dream about shaving but when I first started, I lost a lot of sleep because I knew I was going to have to shave the next day and it was a scary prospect. Actually I am surprised I perservered but Outback kindly sent me some razors and I felt obliged to use them so it's his fault

You never realize what you have until it's gone -- Toilet paper is a good example

I used to have eBay dreams. The big score sort of thing. It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

I think you may be subconciously worried about cell rot.
I have never dreamed about razors while sleeping. At least that I can remember.
I have had plenty of Day Dreams though!

Thanked: 154Yeah I'm kinda like that, but with less ebay and more flea markets.
The "unique piece on a random flea market happening to be there that day" is so much of a trope in my dreams that I usually know I am dreaming BECAUSE of that lol.
The most infuriating thing about such dreams is that the shape of the things keep changing, and the treasure you had in your hand soon is crap.
In my defense, it happens so often maybe because it has really happened IRL a few times. (like "WTF that can't be real" kinda vibe)Beautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.

Thanked: 81You may be on to something. It's been a long time since I've had the time to maintain (or even really use) my razors, maybe I'm subconsciously gettng anxious that my equipment/skills/technique is corroding away.
I think I'll book a day off work soon, make it a honing day. Oh, I have a FBU that I started restoring and has been sitting on a shelf for 6 months now, maybe I should work on that.
