    Default 2024 Fishing season

    Here we are again. Little earlier than last year, but only a couple days.

    Main lake temp 37.8°f
    Coves/bays 41-43°f

    Depth. 1-3'

    Baits. Minnow type jerk baits, and hollow bellied swimbaits

    4 Largemouth bass. 1-2 lbs.
    1 Catfish ( tomorrow's lunch )

    Nice catches. Admittedly, I haven't started this season yet but I'm going to prepare to fishing in the spring. Some pics from expedition by the river thru all night.










    Some lads:
    Pike ~40 cm





    Perch ~25 cm





    Usually I catch them by spinner.

    Indeed. In Latin it is Perca fluviatilis. Description changed.

    No better eating than bass, perch and pike IMO!
