Default Some sad news from England

I just saw where Queen Elizabeth II of England has died. May she rest in peace. To all from friends in England and Canada, I'm sorry for your loss!

I'm very proud of my English background. My great-great grandfather sailed the pacific 7 times. He traveled back to England to gather up his siblings and bring them to America.

The Queen was so very special, so caring and reassuring in her messages to her people during the pandemic. She will be missed.

I am very sad that the Queen has passed away, I was 100% royalist and thought she would be an impossible act to follow.

Now charles and camilla are King & Queen, I am 100% in favour of abolishing the Crown.

He had an affair with her all the time he was married to Dianna, she was a married woman while she was having her affair with the married charles, they are the only people I've heard of that are divorced and still allowed to remarry in church in Britain and certainly the C of E which he is now the head of.

People say that charles was a widower so it's OK. Charles was a divorcee and not married to Dianna when she died so he is not a widower by any stretch of the imagination and camilla's divorced her husband too.

They should not take the throne in my opinion, they do not set any kind of example to us little people, unless of course i am allowed to have an affair because the king did.

I believe that the royal family should be dissolved, Richard Branson should become President and the National Anthem should be Jerusalem.

    Here endeth my rant

Of course if he stepped down and William & Kate were made King and Queen, I would be so Royalist it would be beautiful to behold.

My vote for the New British National Anthem

110% This is EXACTLY what the wife and I said today at the news..

Charles needs to abdicate; he doesn't carry the stature to hold the Crown together, William and Kate !!!! Hazah

The C of E wouldn't be there if the Pope hadn't refused Henry VIII his divorce from Catharina of Aragon. Henry VIII remarried in the C of E. History is repeating itself here.

    Absolutely!

The Pope wouldn't annul King Henry's marriage to Catherine of Aragon so he could marry Anne Boleyn, because her father the King of Spain was against it and was friends with the Pope.

Henry flew into a rage, created the C of E got his divorce and dissolved the Catholic Church in England. He also threw Cardinal Wolsey out of Hampton Court and took it for his own.

Being Catholic was punishable by death for a while.

    I'm C of E actually.

Saying that we are not in the Tudor age and I think it is wrong that today's King (Supreme Govenor of the C of E) is a divorcee that had an affair with a married woman.
