Thanked: 4206Happy you are on the road to recovery and normal functions again Jerry.
Sad for all the lost turning opportunities but hey, that’s what retirement is for!"Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 292Aging is no fun, but when you get old enough to retire, that does help.
Since there is no fountain of youth, getting old beats the alternative.
Take care my friend.

I know I'm getting older, I limp and use a cane as well, I'm 60 but is it just me or does everyone else feel a lot younger in their head.
My body says I'm old, it even made me fall over the lawn mower and cut my leg, but my head thinks it's 30 still, I like my head.- - Steve
You never realize what you have until it's gone -- Toilet paper is a good example

Yea, though the body breaks down the older you get the brain really doesn't change as far as giving you a state of mind where you "think old". Of course the brain does go downhill but in different ways. Cognitive ability deteriorates and things like memory and learning ability and adaptability falter. Of course for MOST folks death is caused by body breakdown not brain.

Thanked: 634I am going to be 74. Most days I feel 60 and others 90. But at least I am in this side of the grass looking down instead of up.

Pretty often the day after I do something around the house that involves kneeling, a ladder or working over my head on something, I think of the old phrase, "If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself!".
Glad you're back in the saddle. Easy does it!Just call me Harold
