    Default Now I reckon....

A man builds a house rectangular in shape. All the sides have southern exposure. A big bear walks by. What color is the bear? Why

What type of horses only go out at night?

Why did the farmer ride his horse to town?

There is a pink single story house and everything in it is pink. The doors are pink, the windows are pink and the TV is pink. What color are the stairs?

A man buys a horse for $60, then sells it for $70. He buys the horse back for $80, and then sells the horse for $90.How much profit or loss was there?

There aren't any stairs. It's a single story.

Answer is $10 each sale so $20 total profit.

Actually it depends how much he paid for horse feed while he owned it. Everyone knows "Poverty is owning a horse."

I don't get the same answer:

buys a horse for 60 so hes sixty down
sells it for 70 so he's 10 up
buys it back for 80 so hes 10 down
    sells again for 90
    so hes even

answer = profit or loss - no profit or loss, he broke even

    $20 Profit

In for $60 out of pocket
Sells at $70 now has $70 in pocket
Buys at $80 so added another $10 to pocket
    Sells at $90

He had $70 out of Pocket costs,,, has $90 in pocket when done

That's my story of Horse Trading same as Oz just a different way of looking at the process hehehee

Maybe English math is different because i just don't see it.
Yes he did start 60 down and end up selling for 90 but its in between.

    down 60 to buy
    up 10 for selling 70
    down 10 for buying 80
sells for 90 so makes up the 10 and is even.

    what am i missing?

    The last question.

Lieutenant General Henry Shrapnel (3 June 1761 – 13 March 1842) was a British Army officer whose name has entered the English language as the inventor of the shrapnel shell.

One time my father bought a tractor for $5,000.

A freind said we could sell it for $6,000 and make money.

But my father said that he still needed a tractor and it might cost him $6,500 to buy a simailar one......

LOL and thinking about my father!

Cash flow is not the same as profit. It's semantics.
