Prayer Works
The family looked at the property/house today.
We have a ratified contract contingent on us getting the amount we expect and of course on or before the end of next month.
We thought about offering less than asking but 2 things developed today. 1) We got from what I believe is a reliable source that another offer was made yesterday at 5000 less than asking. 2) The seller added an additional acre of land at asking price.
We felt that if we get the amount we expect then we'll be able to pay the cost with no loan. Things will be very tight as I try to get my ebay sales going again and possibly look for some contract work to keep us until my sales take off. However I think it's a doable hardship.
Thanks all for your prayers. Please keep praying that we get the funds we expect and God keeps his blessings upon us. I'll keep you updated.

That's great news Glen. Nonetheless, we'll keep you on the 'agenda' for a few weeks more... just to make sure things go as planned

You can count on it.

I've spent the last 3 days trying to locate the septic tank so we can have it pumped and inspected. Thankfully the septic service agreed to pump the septic this week (friday afternoon), but I still haven't located the tank. They don't have a radio transmitter and the only person I could find that does has his business 20 minutes away and would not come to the area.
I've got the estimated path of the pipe marked and I'm hoping they can find the tank tomorrow when they show up. The rocks are ridiculous though so I'm a bit worried.
Other than that everything is going well. We've given them proof of funds and we're waiting on receipt of the last 20k and the septic inspection and then we'll give them the banker's check for the purchase price and sit and wait for them to give the go ahead to close.

Congratulations.
Is septic inspection part of a normal house transfer in your area? I've never heard of that thing over here.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
