I hope that you get your situation soon, and I will keep you in my families prayers, and have asked my church to pray for you and your family. If good ol southern prayer can't help, I don't know what will.

I thought I'd post a quick update. I took the cashiers check for the payment of the house to be deposited into escrow today (i.e the house is paid for and waiting for closing before they get the funds).

The r.e. agent tried to get closing set up for Friday, the last day of our camping but the attorney wouldn't budge from next Wednesday so he called the owner and asked if we could move in prior to closing. The owners finally agreed to let us move in Saturday. One night in a Wal-Mart parking lot won't be bad. I'm thankful to God for that.

I will be calling the electric company and phone company tomorrow. Also the cable company. The children surprisingly want to do without television but I want to see what affordable internet options are out there so we can continue our online businesses. I'm hoping we can choose between dsl and cable but I'll be thankful if at least one of them is out there for an affordable rate. If cable is available and affordable that will be the best because we had moved our old number to my cell and we want to move it to a vonage phone.

Thank you all again for your prayers.

God has truly blessed us through this entire experience.

We actually had a stranger rent us a cottage for a month at a rate we later found to be much lower than the vacation resort it was by. We had a veterinarian we stopped to get heart worm pills from for our dogs give us the pills free, refused to accept payment, and we found later had slipped 300 dollars cash into the bag after he had asked us where we currently lived and we related our search. We had another stranger slip $60.00 through our car window with a message. "God bless you for taking care of your animals, we over heard you talking about your situation when you pulled up (to the Wal-mart store). It's fantastic that you're looking for a place that will allow you to care for your dogs." I still don't know who those people are. God has used people we didn't even know were around to bless us.

I've had a non-believer provide more help and information that ultimately lead us to finding this place we're buying now.

I'm very thankful to God for his provisions. He has provided for us every step of the way and we have never been wanting. I'm positive this is the perfect house for us and it just recently came on the market at a price we can afford. When all is said and done we won't have a mortgage, my wife and children are happy and already planning the garden for next year and trying to decide when to add chickens and a horse. I feel God led us through this extended camping excursion in order to bide time until the house became available.

This whole experience has been a wakeup call to me. I realize now that God uses strangers, believers and non-believers alike, to care for and bless his children. This whole experience has helped me see just how much I need to put my actions in line with my professed faith.

I'm so thankful that God provided us the means to purchase a home, the ability, opportunity and freedom to search until we found the right one, and the blessing of not having a mortgage.

There have been hiccups along the way but always they seem to be an exercise in patience. Thank you all again for your prayers and thoughts. I'll be sure to post pictures and progress of the house, move, etc. in another thread of course.

Just thought I'd post another update.

We're still waiting on the sister in law and the attorney's wife to finish up everything.

We took out the loan on the car and dipped heavily into our living expense moneys and gave the realty company a cashiers check to pay off the house.

We moved in this past Saturday and are closing this coming Wednesday. Phone an internet just got hooked up today. It's a temporary hook up though as they'll have to drill underneath the road and bury an underground cable to the house. They ran a line through a culvert and just left it on top of the yard and said it would take 2 weeks or so to get the permits and bury the line.

I spent the weekend getting the water working and still have a little more to do on that but at least we can flush the toilet and wash our hands. the water line to the hot water tank is still plugged (long story) but hopefully I'll get that fixed today or tomorrow.

There's a lot of work to be done here but It's a great house and really nice property. Thanks again everyone for your prayers.

I'm very glad to hear that you've moved in, and I hope all of this law business gets straightened out quickly. Good luck.
