The game should never have gotten to extra innings, given the "double" from Atkins that was actually and out of the park home run. If the Umpires had gotten that call right, it would have put the Rockies up by one, and ended the game after 9 innings. So the umpire just gave the Padres a little extra time in which to lose.

All of this aside, it was still one of the greatest games I have seen.

I'm going to bump this up, just because I can't believe we are about to sweep the series over the Phillies!!

Yes you are correct. We have pulled of an unbelievable run at the end of the season to get to the playoffs, and are now one game away from moving to the next round, and sweeping the Phillies in the series.

this is the second time we have ever made it to the playoffs, and I'm ecstatic.

Also, don't knock those "Oysters." they aint half bad. (now comes the ridicule.)

I'd try them if they were on the menu here...I've had Haggis and that was pretty good as well.

they really are quit good. They slice them thin, bread and fry them. then you can put Tabasco, ketchup, or other sauce on em, and, yyyyuuuuummmmm. Man that's finger licking good!

seriously, there are some places that will give a lot of "fancy" sauces for dipping, but if you are redneck enough to order these things more than once then there is nothing more needed than Tabasco and Ketchup.

Just watched the Rockies win the 17th out of their last 18 games. Is anyone seriously calling that a fluke?

Next game in Phoenix is five days away. We'll see of ole mo' is still with them.

the series between the D backs and the Rockies is going to be a great one. I think the Rockies will take it in 4 games. We won the series against them to get into the playoffs 2 out of three games. I have high hopes.
