Thread: Temp employment in Canada -- bush work

The company I work for is looking for field operators for geophysical surveys. The work would be in the bush, expenses paid, medical insurance for international jobs. Accomodations are either in motels or well-organized bush camps (including laundry facilities and staff cooks). There are no off days when you're in the field, but you are paid 7 days a week. Depending on your work performance and project availability, there is the possibility of permanent employment.
Here's what we would find ideal (other than experienced field operators lol):
-If you like the outdoors (go camping, hiking, etc.)
-Technical skills (if you can replace various components on your computer and/or install a car stereo, that's a great start)
-Good physical shape -- you will be hiking through the bush, lifting or even carrying some heavy equipment. It's not as bad as construction, but there is hard work to be done.

Ah well. If you ever decide you need to take an extended vacation from her, you know who to call.. Travelling also gives you plenty of opportunities for safe temporary substitutes

Well, the risk of getting caught is minimal.. Now my level of attachment to my girl is high enough to keep me toeing the line, but there are plenty of opportunities for crossing out there lol

I can back Ilija up on this one...my whole division travels 90% of the time and more than a few married guys have more than a few girlfriends in more than a few states/countries lol.
