    Default Semi off topic . . .

    This is semi off topic:

It's partly about the house. The folks left some things in the house and I thought I'd share my excitement . Two late 1800's pedal organs that need restored, a wardrobe, dining room set, china closet, and some other odds and ends.

The one thing I'm really excited about is the Barber's chair . It needs a head rest but I can build one. I have to redo the chrome, put some seals in the hydraulics and clean the vinyl But it's a really nice chair that appears to be from the 50's or 60's .

I'm going to do some research on the organs also to see if I can find how to restore them to optimal value. They play nicely, but need the baffles worked on and the strapping redone in some areas. I also need to find some celluloid to replace the missing tone labels.

I guess in this instance the old saying that "Good things come to those who wait" has been well borne out. Congratulations, Glenn. I know it's been a hard time coming for you, but your efforts have clearly been successful for your family. Well done, sir.

Default Barber's Chair Pics (and some of the house

Here's a few pics of the barber's chair and some more of the house. I haven't taken pictures of the organs yet. I'm waiting on everyone to quit piling magazines and excess items on them. I keep throwing the stuff away as a hint but they just say "who threw this away?" and retrieve it There's a riding mower left here I'm going to try to get running. We'll see what happens.

    anywho here's some more pics:
