Thread: Superbowl Plans?

One of my sales guys at work is hosting a party. I've turned out the best BBQ of my life in the past year, and he's sampled the leftovers. He bought $80 worth of meat that is sitting in my fridge to start smoking tomorrow afternoon for the big game. I've been averaging about 20 hours or so total cook time on brisket, and I've got two nice 13 pounders to cook. I'll start a couple of beer can chickens and two pork tenderloins Sunday morning. I'm planning on cooking some diced Vidalia onions with 3 pounds of chorizo sausage and some mushrooms & spinach, to top with some Mozerella cheese to serve as an appetizer.


Patriots are favored by 14, but I'm still gonna root for the Giants.

At this point in the post it's 50/50. I guess
we both know what each other voted. Good
luck with the cooking. Sounds good. I've
been lucky to be tailgating at the majority of
the Pats home wins this year. I do all the
cooking for everyone too. It's been a great year
either way this thing turns out.

It should be a great game. My main dislike of the Patriots is Tom Brady. The guy who's hosting hates the coach. I have great admiration for Teddy Bruschi and the grit he's shown. It's nice to see the other Manning have a shot at the title.

I voted for the Patriots. I'm not a fan of either team (I'm from Texas...and they don't have a STAR on their helmet) but I have mixed emotions about this game. In no order...

1. If Eli is ever going to win the Bowl, this is it.

2. I would like to see the "perfect" season completed.

So while I wish both could win, and I know that the Giants really gave the Pats a great game, I think the Pats will still prevail. I do think that this will be a Super Bowl worth watching. So many are blowouts. This one should be a game!
