Default Candy/other stuff for the Troops

As the server ate the OT thread (munch, munch....burp!), what ver happened to the effort to gather funds to buy candy or other goodies to send to the troops? Last I heard, a target unit was being identified? If the stuff has been sent, have any replies been received?

I know at least half the candy was sent out by Bruno! We were waiting on another address to send the candy to, but I believe Bruno never received the address and sent the rest to the only APO that we had!

The first half was sent out to sinnfein.
4 kilos of cookies and chocolate covered cookies. He received them without a problem, and apparently the guys were very happy with it.

I was going to wait until January to see if someone else volunteered to take the other half, but noone did.
So then I wanted to ship the other half (more chocolate this time) to sinnfein, only I lost his address in the crash, and so did kyle.

I am now trying to get it back via PM so that I can finally send them the rest of the stuff.

If you're looking for another target unit, PM me. I'm in an the 864th Engineer Battalion out of Ft. Lewis, WA, currently in Afghanistan. I'm sure my guys would appreciate it.

hey bruno if you havent sent the package out yet it would probably be more fair to sent it to the other unit, if it is already sent then i guess it cant be helped now . it will be very much appreciated by my guys and we will think of the others as we enjoy the yummy treats.
just to make sure everyone knows we REALLY appreciate all the support from people back home, there are alot of people out there that think just cause they dont support the war means they dont have to support the soldiers, and it is always good to know that there are still people who will support the troops no matter what their views of the war are. so again thank you all

and just on a side not i love this forum if it wasnt for all the people here i would still think one razor, one brush, one strop and some soap was all you needed for straight shaveing now i know the it is absolutley a MUST to have at least a dozen razors three or four badger brushes and more soaps than are really necessary (or maybe that is just the RAD talking) oh well, either way i will continue to build my collection of razors and shaving related materials
