Let's see the man caves!
Here lately I've been dying not having a garage or shed, so I thought I might find solace in seeing everyone else's workspace. I've been positively drooling over tools, and I know there are some people here with good stuff. So let's see them (or at least describe them). Anything you've got beats my computer desk.
I'll start with the description since I don't have much to go with: my razor work area is my computer desk where I can listen to music and have an ok surface to deal with. Being an ex-mechanic, my tools are mostly automotive ones- complete standard and metric short/deep socket sets, standard and metric wrenches, standard and metric hex key sets, nut drivers, range of screw drivers, and an 18V cordless drill plus a small set of drill bits. With the exception of the screw drivers and the drill, everything is Craftsman. The screw drivers are Kobalt brand (lowes) and the drill is a Black and Decker.
I like to have good tools and try to stay away from the cheapos. A cheaper brand I really like is Lowe's' Kobalt line. I haven't broken one yet, and they have a lifetime warranty just in case.

After I get my two shops set up I will post you up some pics. I got two 12 foot by 12 foot buildings put up last year, and still have yet to get them set up. One is gonna be for all the woodworking tools. The other is gonna be for welding and metal fab.
I just need to get some freaking free time.

well, I'm a bachelor, so I consider my whole house a man cave. unfortunately I also have a garage full of junk from my grandmother so I don't have the room to make a proper workshop. I, like you use my computer desk.

Thanked: 0My dad's workshop that I plan on cleaning as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure all of these tools are my his, except for the electrical stuff in one of the tupperware cartons.

You sound just like my dad.
No, seriously, I decided to clean it up after I tripped over a pile of extension cords and drill press that were on the floor while I was carrying some Marples.
Unfortunately, it's even messier than in the picture.

I've never been a neat freak when it comes to the shop. If it ain't a little messy, you haven't been using your shop enough

Thanked: 150My man cave is my SUV. The only place I go that is not inhabited with women that rule my life. Some day soon we hope to move, and i should get a study and a garage to call mine. Until that day, I dream.
