Take care of yourself first bro! Thanks for the heads up, and best wishes to you and your cold. Oh, don't forget to not touch any of the newbie kit stuff while you're sick too

Thanked: 0I got sick a week ago and found out it was the flu. But all the normal workings of flu weren't there. Felt more like a chest cold with horrible fever.
Hope you feel better soon. Sleep it off and sweat it out! Layers Layers Layers. Oh, chicken soup isn't only good for the soul (cheesie I know, sorry)
Old, college roomie is Jewish and use to call it "Jewish Penicillin" I could never get away with calling it that but always cracked me up. That and as sure as sin, if you got sick, didn't matter with what, his mother would send some of the homemade stuff. We would get low on money (Hey it was university in New Orleans) and call to let her know we were coming down with a "cold"
Take care man.

Yeah, we have three different strains of flu in Oklahoma City right now. One was covered by the flu shot. Gotta love that. One is the chest cold variety, which I've been enjoying for the past week and a half. I hadn't really had much noticable fever until last night. I was cold all night, even though the heat is set on 70 and we have a down comforter, a blanket and an afghan on the bed.
The other is a stomach flu, which one of my dojo buddies had; he couldn't even drink water for 3 days.
I'd like to not be at work today

Take care of yourself first, the newbie kits can wait. And again, thanks for all the work you've done putting together those kits, and the follow-up kits available for order.
I'll just keep myself busy buying straights and hones on eBay and searching the local antique shopsLast edited by D2T; 02-14-2008 at 02:37 AM. Reason: can't spell

Rest up my friend. I had it three weeks ago. I ran a 104 fever for 3 days and thought I was going to die. I had none of the usual Flue problems, just a bad fever and a stopped up head for a week. You sure it is not a side effect of one of those south of Miami cigars (they smelled wonderful).

Thanked: 44Oh man so I peaked at 103.5 and then it broke last night late. Today I am at 98.0. I have to catch up with work but will be getting things out asap. For the record I had a fever, cough, headaches, massive chills and now a runny nose so it might be fluish but it didn't last as long as normal. It might just have been a cold that -20 windchill made worse.
