    Default Scratches on Windshield

Hi.. I've got some very very light scratches on my car windshield from a snow scraper.. I can't feel any disturbance in the glass, but they are visible..

Does anyone have any suggestions before I take this to a repair shop? I'd rather not have to

    Thanks
    David

You could try chrome polish or toothpaste and a random orbital buffer set at about 1000 rpm. But it will take a long time. There are some kits for scratch removal on the market, but they also take a long time. If you could fine the commercial grade stuff.... with diamond paste in it......... hmmmmm.. I wonder if a pasted strop might....... no no no.....forget it.
Best bet....... replacement. The buffing bit might/could result in a blurred area on the glass, and that would probably be worse than the scratch.
