I have noticed more and more Full Service lanes here in Southern California. There is a 76 station near my office in Studio City, CA that has 2 Full Service lanes with an attendant waiting near by. Never have used it yet...I have fond memories of going to the gas station with my grandparents as the attendant filled the car, washed the windows, checked the oil...all the while my grandparents paid with a gas station specific charge card. Haven't seen one of those in a loooong time.

We've got a Servco here in town that'll pump your gas and clean your windshield. The only bad thing is they charge, on average, 2-3 more cents a gallon than the other service stations. They sell produce out front and Necco Wafers, Lemon Drops and GLASS-bottled sodas inside.

How 'bout GLASS Milk bottles delivered to your door by a milkman? We only stopped recently when our son moved out and we didn't go through enough milk to make it to the minimum order.

We still have the boxes; they never came and took them back.

Yeh, Dirty Jers is full service only, and their gas is about 15 cents cheaper per gallon than it is over the bridge in PA.
