    Excellent.

Here's another arrangement on a larger scale:

For non-US folks, the BHR was the rallying song for the Union Armies (North) and the Abolition movement during the US Civil War.

Another cool link, the US National Anthem from the Olympic Games in 2002:http://youtube.com/watch?v=Vp5j9wuywUU&feature=related

I know that it was 150 years ago, but religious lyrics of a battle song sounds a bit odd by todays standards.

I hope people don't take any offense with this statement. I don't mean any, but religion and politics being touchy subjects for many I thought I'd say that I don't want to be taken the wrong way. History is just what it is - we can still be proud with it even if we don't do stuff the same way anymore.

It does seem a little strange at first but it does represent some basic American ideals.

I'm a retired Army Bandsmen. I remember vividly doing a battalion change of command ceremony about 2 minutes away from the Korean DMZ. It was an outdoor ceremony and it was 30°, the troops were not wearing field jackets (I know they were using field jacket liners under their BDU shirts, I was) and in combat dress and with weapons. When we finished the Star Spangled Banner, many of these troops had tears on their cheeks. When your life is on the line at any minute, it is amazing how, God and country become so precious.
