    Default Music to shave to....

I was thinking of this today while I shaved. What music do you guys listen to while you shave? I like a nice relaxing shower and shave in the evenings and often go for the classical music. This morning it was Eric Satie's 'Gymnopadie #1#' but to be honest I like ALL sorts of music.

So come on guys tell me- what sort of music do you like to listen to while you shave?

    Sandy

PS. Oh and as an opener for what NOT to listen to while you shave i'd suggest Radiohead's "Karma Police". Thats throat-slitting music if ever there was some!

I like some mellow Grateful Dead tunes, generally Jerry songs. If I can find a hot live show from say '72 of '74 and pick a few tracks from that, I'm pretty much set.

I'd go for that, but only Richard Cheese's version.

Anyway, I like something slow and typically older. Alabamy Home by Duke Ellington is a great example

I don't normally crank it up for the shave but if I were to do so, it would probably be something like Little Feat/Fat Man In The Bathtub (Waiting for Columbus album) or perhaps Phish/Down With Disease. I could get into Stanley Clark and whatever but it would interfere with the vibrations of my razor!

Typically, I shave without music. The few times I do have music on I keep it smooth and relaxing. Things I have shaved listening to:

    -John Coltrane
    -Sarah Vaughan
    -Sonny Rollins
    -Otis Redding
    -Zero 7
    -R.L Burnside

I was listening to the Joe Cocker cover of 'Come Together
' while shaving today...excellent song, but I'm not quite sure I need to make the experience any more dramatic...at least not until I get a little more practice. Next time, 'Walkürenritt.'
