Go Tribe! This is their (our) year!
Let's face it . . . It's been at least 125 professional sport team seasons since a Cleveland team won a professional championship . . . so, all of you Cubs, Giants, Rangers, Astros, Brewers fans, hang in there, it ain't your turn yet!

Last year was heartbreaking, yet again. I was depressed for two days. I lead a tortured existence.

I'll be in Cleveland on the 15th of April to watch the Red Sox hopefully
beat them. A couple of friends and myself are making the drive from
Massachusetts. I will say that if the Sox don't make it this year
I hope Cleveland does. Good luck.

Hey John, your membership in SRP trumps your status as a BoSox fan! Have a great visit . . . although the Tribe choked in the ALCS, we at least have a nicer ball park! PM me if you need some restaurant recommendations!

Ah, the BoSox. It's a tough call for a Cleveland fan, whether to dislike Boston or New York more.
One or the other always seems to crush our dreams...

Done.
Last year's playoffs really made me an advocate of some kind of salary cap. I hate the way teams are able to go out and just buy up all the top-caliber players.
Normally I'm a free-market kind of guy, but sports are different, in my opinion. The entertainment value is based largely on the competativeness of teams. As much as the Yankee fans probably enjoy watching their guys stomp all over the smaller-market teams, it hurts the sport as a whole.
Aren't playoff races more exciting than blowing out the Kansas City Royals 10 times a year, anyway?

Ralph,
Not only do you have a nicer ballpark (although I do love Fenway), but your ticket prices are MUCH cheaper. We drove to Baltimore last year for the game and then drove home and it was cheaper than if we went to Fenway for a game, gas and all. This trip will be a little more expensive as we're staying overnight, but it still may be cheaper than a trip to Fenway park.
