Gee-the last time I looked, the President of the United States was Caucasian. The Vice President of the United States was Caucasian. And every single President and Vice President who ever held the office since this nation was founded was Causasian. How about the name of all those the non-Caucasian fellas who own a major professional sports team? Or who run a car company? How about the one who owns a string of TV or radio stations? I know there are a ton of those non-Caucasian owners, I'm just having a tough time thinking of their names right now. Yet--you make a great point---us white guys are an endangered species. There are hardly any of us left in positions of authority. We lack power. We lack leadership in high places. We don't control any of the financial institutions. We're being overrun by all the Negros and brown people. Yessiree.

I don't know where you come from, I guess highjacking this thread with, lets say racists remarks. I too am caucasian and think you are a bit over the line here. Just my 0.02

even though it saddens me that America has lost a great man, it also reminds me that the fight to preserve our most important freedom is still in full swing; and the torch is being passed to my generation. I only hope I can do as much to ensure my children's rights as Heston did.

Wow, what a response. You seem to be a pretty angry person.

I think the point that Mr. Heston was trying to make and that you apparently totally missed was that it is a shame that we have reached a point in history where white people are expected to feel ashamed of themselves for no other reason that the accident of their birth and an absurd double standard exists where pride in ones race is perfectly acceptable... as long as you are not white. I guess I did not see it as Heston being terrified that "brown people" are "taking over" but saddened at the fact that politically correct society expected him to apologize when he had done nothing wrong.

Your allusion to Hitler is pathetic and misplaced when apparently pointed at a man who was a champion of civil rights and marched along side blacks in the south during the civil rights struggles of the 1960s.
