Something useful from engineering students
http://blog.mlive.com/flintjournal/n...tory_here.html
The kid built a half size working Panzer. Make sure you watch the video that's in the page
EDIT: I'm not being sarcastic either- that's a pretty cool way to do your engineering research!

Cool....the morning commute would never be the same. While I take a light-rail most of the way, I still have to drive through "Soccer-Mom Alley" to get to the station.....I think a golf ball would be sufficient to knock the cell phone out of their hands so they could pay attention to the road....hmmmmmm...the mind boggles at the possibilities. It would have to be faster, though......

Thanked: 0Back in high school one of my dad's bosses (construction mechanic work) was buying an old Sherman Tank. It had been arranged that fi I helped repair/restore it with him I could drive it. My ultimate goal was to take my date to the prom in it. Unfortunately the sales deal fell through so that never materialized. Oh well.

I built a makeshift hovercraft in highschool using an electric blower for air. We had a blast in the hallway of theschool while testing it, that is until the janitor noticed it was scratching the floor and kicked us out.
