I really shouldn't have said far right because I don't know that they
are that way, but they just don't really live up to their title of
fair and balanced. Again, none of them are that way, but at least they
don't claim to be in their name. That's all.

I was wondering the same thing! this country has slid so far left it's amazing! I am about as far right as you can get, yet I listened to a speech by a senator in 1964. This senator at the time was considered to be very left leaning, even among democrats of the day. I found myself agreeing with almost everything he said! I guess I would have been a left leaning democrat in '64 huh?

Just curious if anyones read the article and what they think of the article specifically?
I quite enjoy our other conversation in this thread, which I will be glad to continue to entertain also!

I agree, things have changed in both parties over the years, so much
so that Democrats of yesteryear may be Republicans by todays standards
and vice versa. I know what far right is, trust me. I work with a guy
who leans that way, but for all the wrong reasons. He is so closed
minded about everything and really sounds like an idiot when he tries getting his point across. I don't bother talking with him about things
because he doesn't know how to discuss things like a gentleman. If people don't agree with him he starts screaming and acting like a moron.
There's one guy who keeps trying to have a normal conversation with
him, but I really don't know why because it always ends up the same way.
I don't lean either way and really try to see both sides of the story.

Well I agree that fair and balanced may be a little too much ----- but the problem is that many individuals think that "news" is by its own nature unbiased and fair and balanced --- that is that the news is channeled via the word of God through the lips of an impartial news reporter ---
And considering that the main news outlets as well as CNN , MSNBC seem to have a perpetual erection for Obama (the most left leaning Senator), maybe these news medias are not just a little bit left ---maybe more.

As far as the article it is just one more example of the religion of manmade global warming trying to indoctrineate us with falsehoods that they will repeat over and over untill they become fact.
It's obvious that they came up with this idea of taking a common symbol of the return of spring and warping it to their own purposes despite the easily available evcidence that contraindicates the truth of their position.
For some reason the left keeps thinging we will believe their lies if the repeat them loudly enough and often enough. (yes, I am including McCain in my definition of "left")
