    Ahh yes, the fabled Chronik Tales! Please allow me just one more childish indulgence and suggest a theme song. From the Dead Milkmen, modified based on link 1 of the Chronik Tales, I give you "The Bitchin Chronik:"

    "Bitchin Chronik, Bitchin Chronik
    I shaved my neighbors
    Bitchin Chronik, Bitchin Chronik
    Now it's in all the papers.
    My folks bought me a Bitchin Chronik with no insurance to match;
    So if you happen to shave me down, please don't leave a scratch.
    I shaved some old lady one night at the county fair;
    And I didn't get arrested, because my dad's the mayor..."

    Sorry. I could not resist. I will act like an adult and a gentleman now...

    He just borrowed your post because you said what others were thinking and doing, and you said it clearly and concisely.

    Thanks. I did just want to make it clear in case any one was thinking this that it really wouldn't be the right thing to do.

    Much appreciated.

    Devious indeed. I agree wholeheartedly with the kaptain. I just skim that other forum for interesting (usually non-shaving related) posts and reserve the serious shavegeekery for SRP.
    Now that I think about it, some of my posts there that were quickly deleted w/o explanation did contain the dreaded acronym of our own beloved gathering place. Coincidence? I wonder.

I was a small fish, he probably thought I would quietly tuck my tail and walk away.
    I had 50 posts on B&B before I was banned, all of them in the straight razor section, and I met with nothing but hostility from joel.

    I lost nearly 300 posts here in the crash, and I signed on to both forums the same day. Obviously I didn't have much use for them. I am irritated because I thought I was free from foolish adolescent/school yard politics a long time ago... and feel sorry for the members there who are getting their advice from him.
    Sad. I found B&B after SRP (I figured I should learn from Lynn first...)...went to B&B on a rare occasion...never found anything there that I hadn't here. I went from a Muck3 to a Dovo and haven't looked back. It sounds like this Joel person has issues...maybe Mike hit to close to home......or compensating.....hmmmmm

    The internet is filled with people who are only in control when they are in their forum - it becomes their little empire. During the rest of their lives, they are on the down-hill side (and we know what rolls downhill!) so they get a rush from their power on the forum.

    A friend of mine calls them "Little Hitlers" - referring to anyone who has a tiny bit of power and acts like they run the universe - uppity clerks, rude cashiers, poor customer service reps, low-level politicians, etc. There is an old prayer for them: "May God grant to those whom He has given just a little power the wisdom to use it."

    Sorry you got banned, Mike. the mods here at SRP seem more level-headed; a big SRP welcome to "OldFashioned": if you can't get the info you need here, then it probably doesn't exist! The diversity of knowledge here is astounding. Jump in and enjoy!!!!

    I am happy to report that his first straight is on it's way to OldFashioned, as I promised. Hopefully, he will enyoy this hobby as much as we do. If not, at least he would have found it out for himself.

    Honestly, B&B has a lot of information on the shaving common ground - creams, soaps, etc. And, ahem... colognes. The one thing I can't stand are the lemmings...
