You guys can read the posts, I didn't think I was being out of line... If Joel is so anti-Straight, why do they have a straight razor section?

He even asked me why I was at B&B... aparently they only have that section to dissuade members from trying straights and to carry out Joel's personal vendettas.

Well I think that sucks.....Joel is a straight user! I joined B&B before I'd even heard of SRP, became a contributer and have quite often PIF'd DE razors and supplies to newbies there. I've been seeing more and more bizarre actions lately that have made me consider whether or not I wish to continue being a member there. I have more in common shave-wise with the SRP crowd and spend much more time here now. I have to admit that last week's BST fiasco had me ready to pull the plug here as well, but that's been the only time that I've been mad enough over something here to make me consider leaving. At B&B it's becoming more and more frequent....I'm sorry to hear that you got caught up in it Mike.

Crichton I'm glad you didn't leave over the flap last week. Those happen every so often, strangely enough we always manage to come out of them friends with the past forgotten in the end and no bitterness seems to carry forward.

I think thats very nearly the definition of gentlemen.

I must say it's a sad situation where you have to ban everyone who doesn't agree with you.

People come to these forums for help, not so we can discourage them and belittle them for wanting to better themselves.
I joined B&B not because I thought i had anything to gain, but because it had a straight razor section, and I was interested in helping.
I am an avid straight razor user and collector, Just because a DE wasn't right for Oldfashioned, doesn't mean he can't master a straight.

I don't know what I said that was B/S, other than insinuating that Joel shaves his legs with a DE... and if that is really the reason you banned me then good riddance. You really need to invest in a personality, and look up the term "sense of humor"

Joel... Don't take life so seriously, your hemmorhoids will flare up.

Here at SRP we are free to disagree, we discuss our issues, and find a common ground. Or we agree to disagree, and leave no hard feelings(for the most part).
The idea of one member of a forum banning anyone who disagrees with him is ludicrous Joel took a turn at bashing RW, and nothing was said, but RW came to his own defense, so the thread was shortened.

I find it very distasteful for anyone to use a public forum for their own personal vendettas, but for a moderator to do it is so much worse.

Mike, sorry to hear you got banned.

All message boards are personal fiefdoms. some rulers are just more benevolent than others. Even in the most friendly it doesn't do to forget that.
