One more for the sin bin
Add me to the list of people banned from B&B. Interesting that one mod sent me a pm to welcome me back after my post and another one (nope, no prizes) closed the door and told me to never come back. I'm hoping that, after a few months of therapy, I'll be okay again.
Cheers

DE in a knife fight
I followed Badger & Blade for almost a year before I came across SRP. Mick trust me, you haven't lost anything by getting the boot from B&B. Always remember it's dumb to take a double edge to a knife fight. The SR will always rule.

I also was a member of B&B, but there really is a tangible difference in the way guys talk there, kinda outright snobbish if you ask me - then after I posted a comment about my thoughts on the term "custom" straight razor - holy frikken cow, the Almighty Bill Ellis stepped in and just wouldn't stop cutting me down, talented man, just waaayyyy to convinced of his own importance, which is sad, since I even bought his CD and have since not even looked at it, thats how much his comments got to me. there's just an arrogance to some of the guys there that leaves a bitter taste, after I also got the "Shill your BS elsewhere" line I just made it clear that I had no interest even being there, so I've not signed in once - even asked them to delete my account....
SRP is soooooo much more welcoming and genuine about things - this forum is just THE best shaving forum, no matter what tool you choose to use.

Guys...
Lynn has already expressed an interest in us NOT shoveling B&B war stories around. This forum is about being better than that in some respects. Let's let sleeping dogs lie guys....
Thanks,
-Rob

Agreed. Although I don't like to hear where someone has been unfairly treated, I don't think we need to make this a "we are much better than them because..." thread.
Let's keep the discussion civil, gentlemanly and respectful. That includes *not* digging up dirt or casting dirt upon others for any reason. We are above that.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanked: 335Regardless of the "not shoveling the B&B horror/war stories around" admonition, I have to say that I'm almighty curious about what was said that caused the censure(s). I would like to see if the comments were innocuous or if someone was actually pushing things hard enough to try to make them fall over. There is a difference - even in the community of us innocents.

You are certainly welcome to PM the "banned" ones and ask them for URLs / links to the threads over at B&B or search over there, but this thread will not become a sounding board for things that are wrong on any forum.
And on that note, I'm closing this thread.
Thank you.

Thanked: 4942Thanks Guys,
I didn't like being banned over there any better than anyone else, but we go out of our way here to help other people. That is really what it will always be about. We look for the good, the art, the talent and the desire from all our members and celebrate all their victories in every area of straight razor use, restoration, honing and shaving. I remain grateful for what this forum has become and to the really great members and Mod team that we have.
Everyone's contribution is welcome!
Thank you,
