Default Self Imposed Limit on SRP time??

JMS has a post in this convo area about knowing you spend too much time on SRP when......

Rather than hijack his thread even though my question is similar I decided to post separately. I KNOW I spend too much time on SRP.

I'm wondering if anyone else not only thinks they spend too much time on SRP, but has actually placed self imposed restrictions to curb or keep their SRP time in check?

Am I the only one who feels the need to have to institute such guidelines? For me, if anything else, it's to try to continue to ensure marital bliss!!

It may sound crazy, but I'm going to have to cut down to like 1 hour per night or less (and probably checking in during lunch like I am now).

    Please share.

I spend just the right amount of time here, although the more I learn, the less that time needs to be. It's a constructive use of my time to sort through what others have learned and are learning. Very useful and very practical for the most part.

When I first started, I was on SRP probably about 4-6 hours a day (and that was even before they had the little chat thingy going!). At the time, I had a laptop that I was checking on the couch while watching television with my wife. As of now, I only really check SRP at work (during breaks, lunch, slow time) and on the odd occasion at home.

Like everything though, I find it ebbs and flows...some weeks I'm on all the time, while others I barely even make it online.

So, long story short, no I don't have self-imposed limits, simply because life is a great regulator of all things non-essential.

    Just my $.02.

    No.

During the day I usually have a window open which I refresh every now and again, but not necessarily to read stuff.
In the evening or in my lunch break I spend some more time here.

I do spend a lot of time here (well I'm a mod so I have an excuse ) but otoh this is a nice way to interact with a lot of people in a period of my life where it isn't easy for me to go out of the house in the evenings.

I suppose it will get better once the kids are a couple of years older, and the youngest is not a baby anymore. Then it will be a lot easier.

For now, SRP is a part of my social life. I've even made a couple of friends here whom I consider real friends despite having never met them in person. Something I'd try to rectify if I ever visit their respective countries.
