Thanked: 0Shameless hijack!
Because I know that the same guys that might comment on the law and the court system in this thread will have something to say about this
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au...47-601,00.html
Reported in an Australian newspaper about an Austrian engineer - wife said she didn't know about a thing (my A$$).
But I have to tell you, I have heard on so many groups recently (some here unfortunately) about how decadent and sinful America is, and how violent we are, and sick as a culture - this really made me want to say something like "BOY, am I glad I don't live in Europe with all those more *highly evolved* folks..."
Just goes to show, there are sicka$$ nimrods *everywhere* boys, everywhere.
Sorry, I now return you to your previously scheduled thread - don;t trash me too bad, I love our band of ferners (just teasin').

yeah, I'm gonna go with first degree murder on this one.
seriously. it's not against the law to be a rambling incoherent egotistical asshole. it IS against the law to kill your wife and hide the body. the prosecution did a great job convincing the jury the first thing was true, but didn't prove anything about the second one.

Thanked: 26This case nothwithstanding, I believe that tangible evidence isn't always necessary to convict. I understand it's a slippery slope but that's why each case is tried separately. One set of facts may be enough in one case but not enough in another. Competent prosecutors don't make outrageous connections and irresponsible claims just because. Deduction is a viable approach in legal reasoning.
