Hair stylist shears
My girlfriend is a hair stylist in Lakewood, OH and she has been hinting about needing a new pair of business scissors... I was wondering if any of you guys or girls knew anything about the Dovo and Dubl Duck brand shears or if you happen to know of any other kind of quality scissors?
Thanks in advance

Feather makes a good set. Basically anything that is ICE tempered is good. I had a pair that had changable blades, think they were 40.00 new at Sally's. It's been too long since I attended school., Hope this helps, but I graduated in 2000, so I've forgotten alot of what I used to know.

I used to be a dog groomer. I had a nice pair of DD's that I liked a lot. DD though is actually considered a low to mid range brand in the groomer market. Their Wonderedge is really nice
If you can find a good cutlery shop or better yet a trade show in your area, it would be well worth the time to take her on a field trip with the stipulation that you'll buy her whatever pair she wants. The right shears are very individualized.
My favorite working pair was a nice weighty 8" straight set in the Phillipino pattern made in France. Another guy I worked with did everything with a six inch set and there was a girl who looked like Edward Scissorhands as she preferred a 10 inch thin bladed shear.
Check out this catalog section as it is the most likely to have what a hair stylist might want. I know it for dog groomers but that what I know best.

Hey, why go to strangers???
I got a pair of Livi barber scissors from Lynn and gave them to my barber. He liked them alot and I even got a free haircut out of the deal. Given your situation, you might do a little better.
