    Default Any Surfers?

    Hey guys,

    I'm curious to know if SRP has any surfers besides myself. I surf as often as I can at both Wrightsville and Carolina Beaches here in North Carolina. Just curious!

    I don't get out much any more, but I used to be a real little grommet in my younger days. Then I became a lifeguard and left it behind. Nowadays I just bodysurf.

    I used to surf, windsurf, and kitesurf.

    Now I'm a dad (of two), and my hobby is straight shaving.

    Spent 12 years living in Oceanside, California working nights and surfing just about every day. Unless there was absolutely no surf – then I went free diving to spear fish and had the most phenomenal fish dinners you can imagine. Yup, a lot of salt water got shoved up these nostrils. This was back in the mid 80’s before that precious little alcove in the world became rancid just like so much of Southern California.

    I am moving to Va Beach and want to try surfing so bad! I will be there at the end of teh year, anyone have any suggestions on gear or web sites to check out etc. Thanks
