Shave your head! Girls too!!!!
So I shaved my head clean for the first time in about a year and I completely remember why I started doing this in the first place!!!! First, I look dead sexy with a smooth head, mutton chops and a full mustache goatee combo. Second, it feels amazing!!! We aren’t talking about clippers with no guard, I’m talking about dragging a blade across your scalp until it is BBS! And to answer the question, no I didn’t use the straight for that, only on my face. Everyone needs to do this! I got away from it a while ago because of the time it takes and I just wanted a change. Now I appreciate it more than ever. if you wear short hair; crew cut, buzz, cut, flat top, caesar, whatever, you need to do this! It grows back I less than a week and besides, it’s only hair.
So here’s the challenge. I want a few people to be brave enough to shave they’re heads for the first time and post they’re thoughts afterwards! The easiest way is to run the clippers with no guard and get it to stubble, then in the shower use a regular razor. Trust me, you can feel your way around just fine. It’s like nothing you have ever felt before. Promise!

I agree. Except for the BBS or girls part. BBS isn't something for heads IMHO. It's begging for trouble. A single pass WTG will do the trick. For the most part, a clipper with no guard will do the trick for day to day cleanup.
In all honesty, I was a habitual headshaver and beard wearer for the better part of 2 decades. However, I have recently found myself removing all traces of facial hair and leaving the head to it's own since switching to my new shaving ways.
I'll respectfully challenge you to a bare face. No sideburns. No goat. Zero. It's like nothing else. I think you'll find a new enjoyment in a completely smooth face.

oh that comes and goes. the side burns especially. they've only been here again for about 2 months. the only thing i have NEVER shaved ever since it grew is the mustache. i don't think i even really have an upper lip! Lol
the difference between clippers with no guard (which I do twice a week) and BBS, or “bic-ed” as I call it. is sooooooooo much!!!! Night and day!

I wear mine BBS and wouldn't go back to stubble. I do an ATG pass with a straight. There is nothing to it, just lather up and go. I agree the BBS is much better than the stubble I wear a hardhat every day and can't take the stubble. And yes I shave the head every night with a straight. I bought a DE for this purpose and used it a couple of times but have went back to the straight razor.

Try one of these...
I've been shaving my head for a while. I don't use a straight for it very often because I've got a scar on the back of my head that seems to get bigger every time I try.... or I end up with stubble around it.
Anyways, for anyone who's going to shave his head, you should get one of these:
http://www.headblade.com/
I know we're all against cartridge razors here, but this thing is pretty cool. I've got the older version that takes Gillette Atra II blades. There's a new version that takes Mach 3 blades, but I've been avoiding it because I like fewer blades.
As for their other products, the headlube aftershave is a good moisturizer, the headslick is a decent shave cream for use with the headblade, but not with a straight. it doesn't lather enough, and it dries out quickly. Also, I don't have much luck using a regular (Poraso) lather with the cartridge blade... the lather plugs it up.
By the way, I do shave my face with a straight... that's why I'm here.

I don't care for the head blade. I'm not knocking it but it didn't really work for me. The cartrige razors seem to make me break out. With the straight I don't get the shave zits on the back of my head.

I have to pass on this one. I do like the looks of shaved heads and bet it feels good but I have the roundest Charlie Brown head and it just wouldn't be good. Besides, the way my hair is thinning, I may be there in a few years anyway.
